Based out of their dynamic studio in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA, designers Evelyn Wedner + James Checkeye have been influencing the local design direction for decades.
Twice every year, for over twenty years we make an exciting pilgrimage to America's furniture design epicenter of High Point, North Carolina for the bi-annual furniture market. Here, we get a preview glimpse at each brand's newest designs, we often place orders in advance for products that are not available at retail, and enrich our long-standing relationships with the nations most elite manufactures in the furniture industry.

At Evelyn James Interiors we find design inspiration not only from our buying excursions "at Market" but also through our travels with friends and family. At times we each find nature to be our muse. Sometimes it's the weathered hues of a foggy shore at dawn or the rich glow of a still summer sunset or even the pure sparkle of freshly fallen snow.
Each client brings a unique perspective and vision to the equation. No two spaces can ever be identical because our design is ultimately driven by the homeowner and their dream living space. We look forward to each new challenge and opportunity to expand our design experience.
